Schamburg, IL: National India Hub, the world’s largest Indian community center spanning 107,000 square feet on six acres, spearheaded a historic unity gathering on November 22 in Chicago. As the umbrella organization for 165 groups, the Hub—founded by Harish Kolasani—brought together more than 100 community organizations and institutional leaders to launch its groundbreaking “One Voice -  One Message” initiative.

State Representative Michelle Mussman and Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison joined as Chief Guests, commending the Hub for rapidly becoming a driving force for service, civic participation, and cooperation among Chicagoland’s Indian community. They highlighted how the organization has united diverse groups “without borders,” creating an unprecedented platform for shared purpose and collective strength.

“One Voice • One Message” aims to establish a unified, fact-based narrative that showcases the positive contributions of Indian Americans, while encouraging community members to uphold responsible civic behavior that protects the respected image Indian Americans have built over generations. To broaden its reach, National India Hub partnered with the Bharat Digital Media Federation. Chairman Viswa CM, based in India, offered strong support, helping shape a communication strategy that connects this message to global Indian media networks and digital platforms.

During the gathering, leaders also addressed rising negative portrayals, recent threats to Hindu temples, and isolated incidents of irresponsible conduct that risk misrepresenting a community known for its integrity, hard work, and meaningful contributions to American society.

That same day, National India Hub inaugurated its Free Charity Clinic, offering preventative healthcare every Saturday, with plans for expansion. The clinic serves uninsured families, seniors, students, and visiting parents at a time of soaring medical costs. Appointments can be made at www.IndiaHub.org.

Reaffirming its mission “to unite and help each other without borders,” National India Hub marked a defining moment for Indian Americans in Chicagoland—setting a new standard for unity, leadership, and community service.
