SPECIAL ISSUE

April 29, 2006: 29 years of success belongs to you all
Dear Readers:
Twenty-nine years, wow! With this 112-page bumper issue, Indian Tribune is entering into its 30th year of publishing excellence. It is a great feeling of labor of love. In spite of many odds, India Tribune has been steady moving ahead towards its golden jubilee.
Twenty-nine years ago, being a chemist, I never dreamt to venturing into starting a newspaper. But then, I saw the need for a good newspaper-a newspaper which dares to take up the issues; a newspaper which informs, educates and entertains the community. And that burning desire in me led to venture into launching of India Tribune.
Twenty-nine years of success of India Tribune belongs to people. This success belongs to it innumerable readers, its subscribers, especially it lifetime subscribers, who have reposed their confidence in its prowess. This success belongs to its countless advertisers who have immense faith in the publication. This success belongs to its patrons and well-wishers who have kept the spirit of all those, who have been involved in its publication, soaring. This success also belongs to three banks; Devon Bank, National Re-public Bank and Mutual Bank-who always stand by India Tribune in times of need. The success belongs to all its employees, who have never lagged behind in putting countless hours to meet the deadlines. Last but not least, this success also belongs to my family members who have always supported my labor of love for India Tribune.
Most importantly, this success belongs to out community members who have been treating India Tribune as their own from the day of its inception.
Despite the fact that the market is flooded with so many free publications, India Tribune, as a paid quality newspaper, enjoys the confidence and patronage of its thousands of subscribers and advertisers.
As people’s newspaper, objectivity and impartiality are the watchwords for India Tribune. Its issue-oriented news columns, objective editorials, informative columns and features, and an entreating magazine section make India Tribune distinctly stand out of all other publications and that is what the subscribers look for, and feel that they are getting their money’s worth.
On this special occasion of completing 29th years of publication, India Tribune renews it pledge and commitment to its readers that it will continue to strive for excellence in fair journalism. This is a promise.
On this special occasion, India Tribune happily anno-unces, in addition to its present Internet edition, that it will soon publish a comprehensive and special online version every week. India Tribune once again thanks its readers, advertisers, patrons and well-wishers for their continued support.
Sincerely,

Prashant Shah
