Lucknow: In a move aimed at ensuring road safety, the Uttar Pradesh government has directed petrol pump owners to not give fuel to two-wheeler riders without helmets.
The directives were issued on October 30 at the behest of state Transport Minister Raja Aridaman Singh.
The traffic officials have begun a telephone number helpline on which fuel station managers of the state capital can lodge complaints with regards to non-compliant motorists.
