Patna: In a shocking revelation, Bihar Education Minister P.K. Sahi said on May 5 that there was no drinking water facility in around 13,000 government schools. He said that shortage of infrastructure in schools in the Bihar was a “major challenge.”
Addressing a seminar “Right of Children and Law,” Shahi said several schools had no toilets, even for girl students.
Implementation of Right to Education Act for compulsory and free education to children was also another major challenge and said the state would require Rs. 25,000 crore every year for implementing the Act in Bihar.
