Visakhapatnam: Rohit Sharma played a gem of an innings (73 off 50 balls) as Mumbai Indians beat Deccan Chargers by five wickets here on April 9. The match went right down to the wire, and with three needed off the last ball, Rohit hit Dan Christian for a massive six over long on to wrap up a nail-biting finish in Mumbai’s favor.
Earlier, Munaf Patel grabbed four wickets as Mumbai Indians restricted Deccan Chargers for 138 for nine. Patel bowled his usual accurate and wicket-to-wicket line, which fetched him four wickets for 20 runs as Deccan failed to build sustained momentum.
