MP best in educating girls: Survey

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has been judged as best performing state in the country in respect of promoting girls’ education through innovative initiatives as a prescriptive for other states, according to a national level survey.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has reiterated the state government’s commitment to providing education to girls along with basic skills to enable them get employment.

Madhya Pradesh is the only state to have adopted a holistic approach towards girl education and employment.

A series of initiatives like save girl child campaign, ladli Laxmi yojna, mukhya mantri kanyadan yojna for marriage poor daughters and reservation of government jobs for women have been launched.
