Hyderabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party on February 8 said that it would support any party that moves a no-confidence motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government, while the YSRCP demanded the TDP’s stand on the move.
In wake of the decreasing strength of the Congress Party in the House, it is necessary for the party to prove its majority, BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy told repor-ters here. “The BJP is ready to face snap polls and this time the elections will be held on Telangana issue and the outcome will change the political canvas of the country,” he said.
Kishan Reddy said that people would vote for a party that could give Telangana and not for any party that asks for Telangana.
“Naidu has been skirting the issue on flimsy grounds and has been maintaining double standards by criticising the government on one hand and asking other parties as to why don’t you move the no trust move. As TDP is the main opposition party and has numbers in a single block, unlike other parties, it is the bounden duty of TDP to demand the Government to prove its majority,” party MLA G Srikanth Reddy told reporters here on February 8.
