AP Agriculture Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana visits Atlanta

Atlanta, GA: Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana, who was on a tour of the USA studying its agricultural practices and techniques, visited Atlanta on December 7. Agriculture experts from Andhra Pradesh were in the delegation led by the Minister.

The Telugu community in Atlanta organized a meet-and-greet event in honor of the delegation and the Minister in Brindavan restaurant. A large number of Atlanta Telugu community members and organizations attended the meeting, and felicitated the Minster. Siva Kumar Arja, Ramprakash Guduri, Rajesh Yellabandi and Venkat Meesala organized the event.

Kanna Lakshminarayana spoke about various agricultural programs being undertaken in Andhra Pradesh and said the state was progressing well on all fronts despite certain hurdles.

Vijaya Babu, Andhra Pradesh State Information Commis-sioner,  exhorted the audience to lead the people in India in right direction for their  well being and progress of the country. Vijaya Babu was appointed to the A.P. Information Commission constituted under the  Right to Information Act 2005. Prof. Jalaiah from Rajendra Prasad Agricultural University also spoke.

Earlier, Siva Kumar Arja introduced the Minister and conducted the proceedings.
